AQUAGOLD® is a sterile, single use device capable of delivering transformative skin care treatments for some of your most pesky skin care concerns. The tip of the AQUAGOLD® device is a spring loaded plunger that contains 20 stainless steel microchannels coated in 24 karat gold. The microchannels contain spiral groves designed to micro-dose and micro-inject therapeutics at a specific and consistent depth. Each microchannel is 600 micrometers long and 130 micrometers wide, which is smaller than the width of a human hair! The tip of the device injects the tailored skin care cocktail into the dermis when pressed against the skin. The device tip is connected to a reservoir which stores and delivers the therapeutic solution to the tip of the AQUAGOLD® device. Stainless steel provides the structural integrity necessary for the device to consistently deliver ingredients to the dermis, while the 24 karat gold coating reduces skin irritation due to the high biocompatibility of gold with human skin. The Therapeutic Target is the Dermis

The dermis is the target for AQUAGOLD’s® transformative power for good reason. The dermis is the layer of skin just beneath the skin surface and is made of mostly collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin give our skin strength, structure, and elasticity. Unfortunately, collagen and elastin fibers degenerate with age. The microscopic injections we deliver to the dermis stimulate collagen and elastin production which improves the overall skin health and appearance. The stimulation in collagen and elastin production is an important strategy in the battle against age-related volume loss. The dermis is also home to the hair follicle, sebaceous glands, and sweat glands. The piloerector muscles which make your hairs stand on end and control pore size can be influenced by the delivery of neuromodulators (Botox or Dysport) to the dermis: resulting in a reduction in the apparent pore size.
